Update: BP has begun pumping the well with cement on Thursday
"The aim of the procedure is to assist with the strategy to kill and isolate the well ... This procedure will complement the upcoming relief well operation," BP said in a statement. BP appears to have stopped the oil leak and that a more thorough assessment of the damage done and remedies necessary can now be made. We would hope that the worst is indeed behind the company," one BP shareholder said. Hopefully the worst of the spill is behind them, but one concern is what they are going to continue to do in order to further clean up the after effects of the spill. BP as a company has to produce the measurable analysis of oil removed from the coast line. Possibly helping finance zoologists and veterinarians in the area to help animals still in dire need of assistance. Most of the harm came from how long they took to respond to the "accident", they have to make up for it. If they want more business, they have to show the people they are willing to sacrifice money to help a terrible situation turn out for the better. New technologies and methods must be reached as soon as possible.

  1. They now have shown progress in stopping the leak, but they still need to focus on new energy resources. It is the basic idea of repeating your mistakes which have brought companies like BP down in the past. BP is not immune to this type of corporation failure.
